About Me

My artwork is abstract and primarily consists of paintings (oil and acrylic) done on stretched canvas. While my earlier paintings were more influenced by music, my recent artwork has been a departure from previous subjects.  My more recent works explore feelings of disconnection and loneliness, and also the excitement of finding beauty when traveling between familiar and foreign places. In my paintings, I have my feet planted one foot in a dream and one foot in some sort of reality.

I am influenced by my grandfather, Si Lewen, who is an incredibly well-respected artist (www.silewen.com). His amazing work has influenced me over the years and he has continued to be a mentor to me. I am also influenced by the highly imaginative works of painter Hieronymus Bosch as well as post-impressionist painter Henri Rousseau.

  1. Hi Damon-
I just met your mother and she gave me your site–it is so great! You are so talented, but I always knew that. (I still have my Christmas Village black sweatshirt that you did, and it is my very favorite of all the CV shirts over all the years). I am happy for you and for the possibility of you & Mason combining your individual talents. I will pass your site on to anyone I think who deserves to view it. I would like your pricing list if anyone asks me. Keep it up-Hi to Erin-
    Love, Beverly
